Amy Winehouse’s Fred Perry Collection Will Live On

Amy Winehouse had a strong fan following not only for her music, but for her style as well. After her untimely death at the age of 27, the future of Winehouse’s fashion label with Fred Perry was uncertain. Her father and a Fred Perry representative have both confirmed that the collection – which had reportedly been finished well before the singer’s death – will appear in stores for Fall 2011 and Spring 2012.

Mitch Winehouse, Amy’s father, said in a statement: “When Fred Perry came to us to ask what we would like to do with the new collection it was natural to continue. Amy loved working on both collections and would want them to be made available. All the money we make and the donation that Fred Perry will give will go straight into to the Amy Winehouse Foundation which we are setting up to help children and young people in her name.” {the Telegraph}

Fred Perry will give a seasonal donation to the foundation, in addition to profits from sales of the line which would have gone to Winehouse.
